An Ordinary Dream

When I was little
My means were limited
But my dreams were big.
I wanted to do something -
To make a difference -
Somewhat,
Somewhere,
Somehow!

I hoped, I lived, I loved,
I tried to make it all work
I played, I sang, I danced,
I put my rhythm and band
I felt, I suffered, I cried,
I learnt to heal my pain.
I smiled, I laughed, I cheered
Even when there was rain.
I brought the sunshine
Even in pitch dark.
I tried to bring the light
To make a mark –
In those lives
Where hope is everything
That we dream for.

A stream of dreams-
A valley of thoughts-
A flow of acts-
A good number of years in between.
When I look back
I try to see where my dreams are now!
I lived some;
I lost some;
I borrowed some;
I wasted some.
Some I gave away -
Some became others’ dreams.

Once again I start over and thread my dreams until I can dream.
This time I dream for real
I wanna live my dream everyday until my last day on earth-
Dream to let me be me-
Humble and human as much as I can -
To be useful to someone, somewhat, someday…….
May be, to my family, to country and the universe somehow......
