Day three in Rio de Janeiro

In one of my earlier post, I mentioned that I am in a trip to South America and starting point is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I am spending few days here. It has been 3 days already, I was upset to see so much rains on day one, but now it is all changed, I have started loving this place, nicely warm, pleasant, breezy and sunny. I spent time in Copacabana beach yesterday and thought of watching the sunrise this morning, but my sleep, I could not wake up that early, hence came to the beach around 6:30am. The waves were beautiful, it is smooth fine sandy beach, I got my feet wet. I really wish I could swim, don´t want to bring up my swim classes and my failure to breath from the air. I never got swimming, so I only get my feet wet in the beach if I like the sand and the temperature of the water. But I have to tell you the truth that I miss not knowing swimmimg when I am here at Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro.
People in Rio are quite health conscious, you would always see people jogging, running, walking, swimming, cycling, exercizing or working out one way or the other. I had quite a few company in the last several hours, most of them are local people. First, one gentleman came to sit on a chair under my umbrella and he thought I am Argentine. We had few exchange of words, like American, New York, Obama and few gestures and smiles. It was quite pleasant to talk (if we even said one full sentence to each other) to locals. Next one, one lady with an elderly woman comes to me and speaks in Portugese, so I guess, I do look South American, not bad, at least I don´t get treated like a foreigner(not sure, if it is good or bad though):)These ladies did not say much to me, just wanted to take the chairs from my area and I gladly accepted their request with exchange of smiles. Another company, this was a bit strange, it is a tough one, a manly female with huge breasts and in her Brazilian bathing suit with a wrap around her. She sat next to me, threw her bag on the table in front of me and then took off the wrap in few seconds. She is a big built lady. I was a bit shocked seeing her, I was expecting a rather toned body, as you know the girls here are really hot and exotic. I was a bit confused if she was a female. But no, I got my answer, it was a big built woman with a bit of mascular look but has girly nature like nails being done and seemed proud to expose her femininity (is that a word in English, will check later). It may be rude on my part, but it was a bit confusing until I hear her talking to probably her mother who was sitting next to me all these time and reading a magazine in Portugese. We both exchanged smiles and she said Chaio at her departure. I guess I earned it throughout this time just sitting across her, even we never said anything to each other.
The meeting place with all these above described people was a small seating area next to the beach in an open kiosk, the guy was selling drinks and tender coconuts. We all were having the same drink, yes, it is tender coconut. It might be the national drink here, just making this up. I even attempted to get it broken by the seller to eat the white thing inside, but no luck it was way too tender and had nothing inside it, but the water was very refreshing.
I am going to meet my fellow travelers this evening and will start the official trip from tomorrow morning. Hopefully, I can get internet readily available in other places we go. Yesterday I paid for 24hours internet at the hotel and only got 1 hour to use it as they had ONE computer only, so, today I am using an internet cafe outside the hotel and near the beach. More later...
